May 9th, 2016 (Laplace) - The Destrehan Plantation Fall Arts and Crafts Festival will make its return, November 11th - 12th, 2017. The Festival is back by popular demand after its cancellation last year. The 2017 festival will mark the 45th year Destrehan Plantation has held the event.
According to Destrehan Plantation staff, the cancellation was necessary to accommodate the large expansions and upgrades occuring on the plantion grounds. A new Welcome Center and Administration Center have been added to Destrehan as part of its two year Master Plan with work set to finish on a new Bead and Breakast cottage in June.
The Destrehan Plantation Fall Festival is the major fundraiser for the non-profit River Road Historical Society which operates Destrehan Plantation.
